I'm reminded of the story in Joshua 9 when the Israelites made a treaty with the Gibeonites without first inquiring of the Lord (Joshua 9:14). It seemed like the right thing to them, but they needed to consult the Lord. I think the same can be true for our ministry. If we get caught in just doing what we think is best without seeking the Lord, we really won't make that eternal positive impact that God wants to make through us and will probably end up with negative consequences. God knows what is best. We just need to learn to listen and seek Him first - Matt. 6:33. Great points.
